Amid the ongoing conflict in Kandahar, Afghanistan, a Swedish national who suffered a debilitating stroke was successfully evacuated to Delhi for urgent medical treatment. The high-risk operation was undertaken by QwikLif Air Ambulance, which navigated the complexities of a war zone to ensure the patient’s safe transfer.
The patient, who had been working in Kandahar, experienced a severe stroke amidst escalating violence in the region. With medical facilities in Kandahar under strain and unsafe conditions hindering local treatment, a decision was made to evacuate the patient to India.

Upon arrival in Delhi, the patient was immediately transferred to a leading hospital specializing in neurology. The timely intervention and advanced medical care available in India are expected to significantly improve the patient’s recovery prospects.
